Now it gets serious. The NHL All-Star break has come and gone, and as the league's 31 teams get back to work, the grind to find a playoff spot grows more tense. The Chicago Blackhawks have been ever presents in postseason play since the 2008-09 season, winning three Stanley Cups over that span of time, but if the playoffs were to begin today they would not be participants.
Talk about a tale of two series. Nashville goes to St. Louis up 3-1 on the Blues after improving to 4-0 at home in the playoffs, while both the Anaheim Ducks (0-2) and Edmonton Oilers (0-2) are winless at home in their playoff set.
