The Philadelphia Eagles are members of the NFC East division of the National Football League (NFL), and they hold the unwanted record of being the only NFC East team not to have won a Super Bowl. Eagles were established in 1933 when they replaced Frankford Yellow Jackets who had gone bankrupt. Since then, the Eagles have won three NFL championships (pre-1970), three conference championships, 13 division championships, and reached the playoffs on 24 occasions.
Their two Super Bowl appearances came in 1980 and 2004, where they lost 27-10 to the Oakland Raiders, and 24-21 to New England Patriots.
Since 2008, with the exception of the 2012 season when they finished fourth, the Eagle have finished in the top two of the NFC East division, including two wins; the last of those coming in 2013.
In 2015, the Eagles finished second to the Washington Redskins after posting a 7-9 record, with the Redskins finishing the regular season 9-7. This was also the year that head coach Chip Kelly was released with one game of the regular season remaining.
Doug Pederson is now the Eagles’ head coach and he needs to reorganize a shaky defense, and build on the potential they have in offense.
Sam Bradford is a capable quarterback, while Jordan Matthews finished as the Eagles’ best receiver with 997 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015.
Perhaps worrying for Eagles fans is they allowed more than 400 rushing yards than they made themselves, showing a possible area of weakness that has to be closed come the first game of the 2015 season.

What Are The Philadelphia Eagles Standings
With preseason odds of +400 for winning the NFC East, bookmakers are not confident of a solid Eagles season.
Let’s check if things are panning out that way by looking at the Philadelphia Eagle standings as they are this very second.
How To Win Philadelphia Eagles Bets
Online sportsbetting sites do not seem to be holding out much hope of the Eagle maintaining their top 2 finishes in the NFC East, pricing them at +400 and most likely to finish fourth in the division.
One of the reasons for this is the Eagles’ poor defense, which finished 14 from 16 in the NFC last season. Rushing defense was worst in the NFC allowing 2,153 yards for 134.6 yards per game.
The Eagles also allowed the third most points in 2015 at 430, or 26.9 per game. Factor this into your betting.
Offense was typically average, eighth in the NFC overall. Passing was quite good at 255.4 years per game, but rushing remained a problem with only 108.9 points per game. Total points scored were 377, or 23.6 points per game.
