Who's ready for the final NHL series of the year to get here? That's right, after a thrilling postseason, the Stanley Cup Finals are here and two teams are ready to give it all they have to capture the glory. The Oilers won the Western Conference, while the Panthers took care of business on the other side of the bracket. Right now, Edmonton is the favorite over Florida in the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals.
Will the Oilers be able to get the job done? That's what a lot of people think is going to be the case. In the Western Conference Finals, Edmonton barely broke a sweat to get to this point. "He's everything to this organization, and he's everything to the fan base here," Oilers CEO Jeff Jackson told NHL.com. "He's beloved, and he gives back a lot. He loves playing here. Taking a look at things as a whole, the over for games should hit for the 2025 Stanley Cup Finals. Edmonton has been great on both ends of the ice, but the exact same thing could be said about the Panthers. They dominated in the Eastern Conference Finals - this team has been on a tear throughout the postseason and they'll surely win some games against Edmonton.
“Ready to go, for sure,” Florida captain Aleksander Barkov said this week while speaking with the media ahead of Game 1. “We’ve been waiting for a little bit here. Obviously, it was nice to get a couple days off, stay in Florida for a little bit, not to think about anything, but now it starts to feel like, alright, let’s get it going.”

Soon enough, both of these teams are going to suit up and fans can't wait for all of the action to get here. McDavid is fired up to prevent Florida from repeating as the Stanley Cup champions. Will he be able to do so? We'll find out soon enough, as this series should prove to be one to remember for everyone to enjoy from start to finish.
