UFC Betting: UFC Fight Night 72

Main Event: Middleweights Michael “The Count” Bisping vs. Thales Leites
Odds: Bisping -135, Leites +105
Bisping should win this fight because…
In a tough “could go either way” headliner, Bisping has a slight edge over his opponent. The two fighters contrast in styles, with Bisping preferring striking and Leites be more adapt at grappling and takedowns. Bisping advantage over Leites comes in the form of defense and accuracy. With Bisping being a better defender and Leites less than impressive takedown accuracy, Bisping will be given more opportunities to land more hits and maybe even a knockout.
Pick: Bisping
Ross Pearson vs. Evan Dunham
Odds: Pearson -190, Dunham + 150
Pearson should win this fight because…
Pearson is generally considered to be the superior fighter in the match by MMA fans and experts. The Pearson's recent success has him slowly climbing the 155 lbs ranks. Dunham has lost 3 of his previous 4 matches and has not fought since January of this year.
Pick: Pearson
Leonardo Mafra vs. Stevie Ray
Odds: Mafra +150, Ray -190
Ray should win this fight because…
Ray won his debut UFC fight a few weeks back in convincing fashion by knockout. After his impressive debut, the Scottish fighter was quite excited to learn that he had an opportunity to participate in Scotland’s inaugural UFC event. Ray is currently one of three Scottish fighters on the card and like his fellow countrymen, he will be fighting in front of a riotous and passionate home crowd.
Though the location of the fight is typically not a large factor in determining the outcome, it can play a part and this is one of those rare times it will. Ray and Mafra match up quite evenly so the Ray’s homecoming is what is currently giving him the edge.
Pick: Ray
