Saturday 31st December
Liverpool (+130) vs. Manchester City (+190) 12.30pm ET
Just a point separates the two teams looking to stay hanging to Chelsea coat-tails as they fly past in the wind. Providing Chelsea win what looks like a routine thirteenth straight win at home to Stoke City, this game will be pivotal to the title race which will be played out over the following 19 games. Win and either side could possibly reign in Chelsea. Lose and it is game over in December. A tie would surely leave both sides with way too much to do. Memories of an epic game just eighteen months ago will echo in the minds of soccer fans everywhere:
Saturday's game will pitch two high-pressing teams against two pacy attacking forces. Something has to give and we think each defense is going to have the kind of nightmare evening that will wake them in the cold winter evenings a defeat will inflict. Over 3.5 goals is +155 and that may be the best bet of 2016 on the final day of the year.
Elsewhere, each team's odds of +900 (Liverpool) and Manchester City (+1000) to win the game from a losing position are more than kind and it is worth backing both to return a profit of +475 as a combo. It really could go either way and we can't wait!
Other Games:
Friday 30th December
Hull City (+310) vs. Everton (-110) 3pm ET
Despite Hull needing the points desperately, we expect Koeman's Everton to put Hull in real trouble at the bottom and set them adrift. Take the away win at -110.
Saturday 31st December
Chelsea (-375) vs. Stoke City (+1000) 10am ET
If only there was a reminder that freak goals do provide odd results in football. A goal from this very fixture just two seasons ago?
Miracle goal from Stoke's Charlie Adam aside, can we expect Stoke to put up much of a scrap? Given their timid capitulation at Anfield last time out, probably not. Eden Hazard to score and Chelsea to win is +125 and investable.
Leicester City (+105) vs. West Ham United (+265) 10am ET
Leicester can win the battle of two teams who should be performing better and climb away from danger...briefly. The home win is +105.
Southampton (-140) vs. West Bromwich Albion (+425) 10am ET
Take Albion at +425 for a surprise result according to the odds between two sides separated by a single point in the league.
Burnley (+135) vs. Sunderland (+215) 10am ET
Burnley can win a humdinger. Take Turf Moor's finest to win by a single goal at +295.
Swansea City (+180) vs. Bournemouth (+150) 10am ET
With Chris Coleman and Ryan Giggs apparently duelling for the manager's role, Bournemouth can pile misery on the disjointed Welsh outfit. Take the away side with a one goal handicap at +650.
Manchester United (-385) vs. Middlesbrough (+1200) 10am ET
Way back when he was a young prospect, Wayne Rooney destroyed Middlesbrough in the F.A. Cup:
As it comes full circle, it will be Boro that Rooney equals Sir Bobby Charlton's scoring record against. Take Rooney to score and United to win at +165, or if you like him to grab a goal in a 3-0 win it's +1100.
Sunday 1st January
Watford (+425) vs. Tottenham Hotspur (-150) 8.30m ET and Arsenal (-305) vs. Crystal Palace (+750) 11am ET
Both North London teams desperately need to win against poor opposition. Take the double at odds at +220 and see the Status Quo maintained between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur as they march on.
