Seattle can get to within a game of NFC West lead
Thanks to the Arizona Cardinals surprising 24-22 loss to the Rams, on the road in St. Louis yesterday, Seattle can get to within a game of first place in the NFC West with a win tonight. Seattle looked rather ordinary during losses to St. Louis (34-31 OT) and Green Bay (27-17) as they opened their season on the road. That said, the Seahawks stormed back in their home opener as they crushed the Chicago Bears by a 26-0 count last weekend. Although our opinion on the Seahawks hasn’t changed much from our conversation back in February, we like Seattle in this contest versus the toothless Lions tonight.

Stumbling out the gate with an 0-3 record, Detroit can pretty much abandon any playoff hopes they are harboring if they lose a fourth straight game tonight. Following Week 4 wins by the Bears and Saints, the Motor City Kittens are the only winless team in the NFC. Facts are facts and the Lions have been brutal since their collapse in San Diego during Week 1 action. Detroit had a 21-3 lead in that contest but ended up dropping a 33-28 decision to the Chargers. Since then, Detroit has posted a 26-16 loss to the Vikings in Minnesota and a 24-12 defeat vs Denver during their home opener last weekend.
Seattle vs Detroit NFL Week 4 MNF Prediction: As the monster ten point spread on this contest suggests – Detroit is in trouble on the road itonight. This is especially true now that SS Kam Chancellor has ended his ridiculous contract holdout as the Seahawks defense is now back intact as a full unit. The Seattle defense is third in the NFL allowing 286.3 yards per game - Detroit is 28th as they have given up 395.7 yards per game. Anticipating a snoozefest in Seattle, we are tying the Seahawks gaudy money line price and the UNDER line together with a 500 unit two-bet parlay at the Bovada sportsbook.
