Minnesota is going Wild in the Western Conference

Sitting seven points out of a playoff position on January 28, no team has been hotter than Minnesota recently. Caps Captain and NHL goal scoring leader Alex Ovechkin is dealing with a "lower body" injury and did not take part in the morning skate - he is a game-time decision tonight. The Caps trail Pittsburgh by one point for third and they are four back of the Rangers and Islanders for the top spot in the Metropolitan Division.
