Dodgers vs Nationals: Rubber Match Showdown in SoCal

LA Dodgers: Kershaw deals at Chavez Ravine
It’s déjà vu all over again as Clayton Kershaw (9-6 ERA 2.51) aims to knockout the Nationals for the second time in less than a month. The Krushinator spun a gem as he shutout Washington with a three hit eight-inning performance during the Dodgers 4-2 decision in The District on July 18. LA snapped a season high four game losing streak with a 5-0 win last night. Sitting with a 63-50 record, the Dodgers own a slim 2.5 game lead on San Francisco in the NL West playoff race. In Kershaw we trust here.
Washington Nationals: Chasing the New York Mets in the NL East
After ruling the top perch for the better part of two months, Washington is now chasing the Mets in the National League East Division. The Nationals slide into second place is due to their dismal 10-15 record since the All-Star break. Overall the Nats are 58-54 and they trail New York by 2.5 games. Washington is another 5.5 games behind in the NL Wild Card race so winning the NL East is their top priority at this point. RHP Jordan Zimmermann (8-7 ERA 3.44) gets the call to the bump tonight.
Nationals vs Dodgers MLB Decision: To keep our preseason 2015 World Series futures wager alive - we need Los Angeles to get hot. We liked what we saw last night. Being as these squads are fairly equal on offense, we'll take the pitching advantage we get with Kershaw here. That said, we still don’t have much faith in the Dodgers bullpen that’s ranked 24th with a 4.12 ERA. Cruise with Los Angeles and 500 unit wager on the money line price posted at the SportsBetting.ag online sportsbook.
