Dallas vs Detroit: NFC Wild Card Playoff Betting Prices

Dallas vs Detroit: NFC Wild Card Playoff Betting Prices

Will the Cowboys turn-around season continue?

Posted with a monster 50/1 preseason price to capture Super Bowl XLIV at the Bovada sportsbook, and considering they were coming off four straight non-winning seasons, expectations were low in the Lone Star State this year. Dallas has silenced some of the doubters though as they built one of the best offensive lines in football and have been a scoring juggernaut all season long. Postseason play has not been kind to the Cowboys as they have posted a 1-7 record dating back to 26-17 loss to Carolina in the 1997 Divisional playoff round. QB Tony Romo is 1-3 since taking over in Dallas but, with his O-Line, RB DeMarco Murray and WR Dez Bryant, this is probably his best postseason supporting cast ever.

Lions defense needs some help from the offense to pull off an upset here

Back in the postseason for the second time in four years, Detroit is looking for their first playoff victory since 1992 when they crushed the Cowboys 38-6 at home. Defense has been the engine fueling the Lions run this year as the Cats rank second behind the Seahawks in yards allowed per game. The Motor City Crew is also second in points allowed per game (17.6) and their rushing defense ranks first overall. That said, teams can only keep the Cowboys in check for so long so Detroit will need some offense. The Lions have the weapons as QB Matthew Stafford has stud wide receivers Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate to throw to while Joique Bell and Reggie Bush are solid in the run game.

NFC Wild Card Prediction: Ndamukong Suh winning his appeal, after he was suspended for accidentally stomping on Aaron Rodgers ankle last week, is a huge deal for the Cats defense. One couldn't blame the Cowboys for wishing this game was in Detroit as the 'Boys were 8-0 on the road but just 4-4 at home this season. Though shocked by the heavy juice, we are happy to get the added hook on the Lions spread price posted at Bovada. Back Detroit with a 500 unit spread wager at Bovada.
