Baltimore Orioles: Pitching is a huge problem for reigning AL East Champs

Although their bats have been fairly productive, the Baltimore pitching staff has had a horrible start to the 2015 MLB season. The Orioles 4.98 team ERA is the worst in the Majors and we don’t see that number improving today. That’s because Orioles RHP Bud Norris (0-2 ERA 17.2) is heading to the hill and he has been a gas can so far this season. Norris has allowed 20 runs and 18 hits over just 10.1 innings pitched during his first three starts.

Orioles vs Red Sox Prediction: Dating back to the Orioles 6-4 playoff loss to Kansas City last October, Norris has now given up 24 runs and 27 hits over just 14.2 inning pitched. Struggles like that don’t disappear overnight and the Boston bats have been fairly hot during the first two games of this series.
