Win or Lose Cash Back Rebates

The benefit of betting through an online racebook and reaping the rewards of rebates and cash back programs is pretty straightforward. When you bet at the track, you pay your money and you take your chances. If your bets win, you collect money, if your bets lose, you do not.

With cash back rebates, you get something back if your bets win or lose, in most cases a percentage of the total cash volume of your bets either for the day or for the week. However, not all cash back rebate programs are exactly the same, so here's a look at the details on some of the best programs available.

Bovada Cash Back Rebate

One of the most popular racebooks in the Web, Bovada offers a weekly cash back rebate at two levels, 5% on all exotic wagers such as Quinellas, Exactas, Trifectas, Superfectas, Daily Doubles, Pick 3s and Pick 4s and Boxes and Wheels. They offer a 3% cash back rebate on straight Win, Place and Show wagers, although there is no rebate on $2 wagers that pay out $2.10 or $2.20 for Place and Show wagers. There is no rebate available on Future or Prop bets.

Bovada Weekly Rebates Win or Lose

Bovada pays cash back rebates with a deposit directly into your account every Tuesday at 1:00 PM Eastern, and there is a one-time rollover requirement of the rebate amount before it can be withdrawn from your account. The Bovada cash back rebate is an excellent bonus for regular horseplayers who like to bet several races every week, particularly if you favor playing the exotics.

BetOnline Cash Back Rebate

Over at BetOnline, they do things a bit different, in that they pay out cash back rebates on a daily basis, and have a few more restrictions when it comes to how the rebate program works. One of the really nice things about the BetOnline rebate program is that they pay 7% cash back on all wager types, including straight wagers and exotics, which is great for many people who are regular Win or Win/Place bettors and shy away from the exotics.

Similar to Bovada, there is no cash back on $2.00 wagers that pay $2.20 or less. The 7% daily cash back applies only to wagers placed online, with 4% cash back offered for wagers placed over the phone. In addition, wagers placed on New York Racing Association tracks (such as Belmont, Saratoga and Aqueduct) are only eligible for 4% cash back whether the bet is placed online or over the phone. In addition, tracks regarded as D and E-level are not eligible for cash back rebates.

Betonline 7% Track Rebates

Betonline $25 Risk-Free Bet

Other top-rated racebooks that offer cash back bonuses include SportsBetting, with the exact same terms as BetOnline; WagerWeb, which offers 5% weekly cash back on all bets at major tracks; and BetDSI which offers a generous 8% daily cash back rebate on all exotic wagers, and 3% on all straight bets placed over the internet.

Wherever you choose to open an account and place your horse racing bets on the Breeders' Cup or other major events, cash back rebates are clearly an excellent way to add to your handicapping return on investment.
