UFC Betting: UFC Fight Night Teixeira Vs. Saint Preux

Main Event: Glover Teixeira vs. Ovince Saint Preux
Odds: Teixeria -120, Saint Preux +100
The two light heavyweight headline this Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee looking to climb the rankings and get a future opportunity at the weight class belt. In one of the most evenly matched main events this summer (considerably more than last week’s headliner at UFC 190), it’s a challenge to give one fighter the upper hand once that bells rings Saturday night.
Teixeira ranks fourth and Saint Preux sixth on the current light heavyweight rankings, and are not separated by much else in terms of fighter style and history. Saint Preux has been on more of a roll lately, with an impressive victory over Patrick Cummins while Teixeira hasn’t won since September of 2013 against Ryan Bader (who defeated Saint Preux in August of 2014). Each fighter has the ability to win through submission, knockout or last the whole match and win by decision. Based off of all recent results Saint Preux should continue his hot streak and win the matchup.
Pick: Saint Preux
Michael Johnson vs. Beneil Dariush
Odds: Johnson -150, Dariush +130
Lightweights tangle up on the fight leading up to the main event on Saturday night. American Michael Johnson and Iranian Beneil Dariush fight for national pride and a chance to get closer to a title fight. Johnson is higher ranked and more experienced than Dariush, but Dariush has only one loss in his professional MMA career. For Beneil to upset and win, he will need to take the match to the ground. Beneil is a fluid submission artist, winning the majority of his matches with a rear-naked choke. Johnson has lost 75% of his matches through submission but has been a roll lately winning the last four, 3 by decision. Johnson’s improved ability to control the match gives him the upper hand on Saturday night.
Pick: Johnson
