The two light heavyweight headline this Saturday night in Nashville, Tennessee looking to climb the rankings and get a future opportunity at the weight class belt. Lightweights tangle up on the fight leading up to the main event on Saturday night. American Michael Johnson and Iranian Beneil Dariush fight for national pride and a chance to get closer to a title fight. Johnson is higher ranked and more experienced than Dariush, but Dariush has only one loss in his professional MMA career. For Beneil to upset and win, he will need to take the match to the ground. Beneil is a fluid submission artist, winning the majority of his matches with a rear-naked choke. Johnson has lost 75% of his matches through submission but has been a roll lately winning the last four, 3 by decision. Johnson’s improved ability to control the match gives him the upper hand on Saturday night.
