Philadelphia vs Edmonton: NHL Puck Wagering Prediction

We are getting right back on the horse tonight as we preview and predict the Philadelphia vs Edmonton battle in the City of Brotherly Love. Flyers hit a bump after appearing to turn a corner

After opening the season with a 0-2-2 mark, Philadelphia looked like they had turned a corner as they went 4-1 over their next five games. That winning run included victories over in-state rival Pittsburgh on the road and home wins over Detroit and Los Angeles. The three wins came at a combined 12-7 count. The Flyers have regressed a little though as they are coming of road loses to Tampa Bay and Florida leaving them with a 4-5-2 record which is good for twelfth overall in the Eastern Conference.

Edmonton Oilers: Head out on the road minus two of their top players

In a similar fashion to Philadelphia, though a little rougher, Edmonton had a tough early season start as well. The Oliers lost their first five games (one in a shootout) before ripping off four straight home wins versus teams from the East. The home cooking turned a little sour though as Edmonton lost the last two contests of a seven game home stand. The Oilers will be without their top scorer Taylor Hall (MCL sprain) and their top defenseman Andrew Ference (suspension) in this contest tonight.

Oilers vs Flyers Puck Betting Prediction: Losing two of your top players, just as you embark on a five game road trip, is not good. Hall is leading the Oilers with six goals while Ference is a steadying influence on the young defense in Edmonton. Philly has earned six out of a possible eight points in their first four home games and we like them here tonight.
