NFL Week 4 Summary

If there was a theme of Week 4 in, it was big comebacks. The Arizona Cardinals trailed the winless Buccaneers 10-0 in the fourth quarter, with Tampa Bay looking good to cover the 2.5 points it was giving -- the under 40 points was a lock. However, Cardinals star cornerback Patrick Peterson had two interceptions of Bucs rookie QB Mike Glennon in the closing minutes of the fourth quarter, one of which led to Carson Palmer's 13-yard touchdown tying pass to Larry Fitzgerald with 3:06 remaining. Jay Feely won the game with a 27-yard field goal at 1:29. It was the first time the Cardinals won a game in which they trailed by at least 10 points in the fourth quarter since Dec. 28, 2003.
The Seattle Seahawks did Arizona one better. The Seahawks were 1-point favorites at Houston but trailed 20-6 midway through the fourth quarter. Marshawn Lynch scored from 3 yards out with 7:43 left to make it 20-13, and then Richard Sherman picked off a Matt Schaub pass with 2:40 left and returned it 58 yards for the tying touchdown. Houston failed to score on two overtime possessions and Seattle won it on a 45-yard Steven Hauschka kick with 3:19 left in OT. Seattle had been 0-105 in games it trailed by at least 14 points entering the fourth quarter.
The Broncos were the only double-digit favorites of Week 4 and easily covered the 10.5 points in a 52-20 win over visiting Philadelphia. The total of 58 was the highest of the season to that point. The biggest underdog to win outright was Buffalo at +4 at home against Baltimore. The Bills intercepted reining Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco five times in the 23-20 victory. Buffalo's E.J. Manuel became the first rookie quarterback ever to beat a defending Super Bowl champion in a September game.
Overall, favorites covered nine of the 15 games in Week 4.

Andrade was the fellow who ran on the field in the midst of Super Bowl 55. It turned out that he'd wagered $50,000 on a Bovada Super Bowl prop on whether someone would run on the field during the game. Even though the outcome was tainted, Bovada is honoring these wagers.
