NFL Draft 2024 prop bets

Below you'll find a list of prop bets for the 2024 NFL draft.

First drafted defensive player - Dallas Turner (-115)

Jared Verse is someone that a lot of people are looking at in this market, but Dallas Turner looks like the man who should be the first defensive player off the board in the 2024 NFL draft.

Turner was the SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Year after recording a career-high 14.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks in 2023. Plenty of the mock drafts have earmarked Turner to head to Atlanta as the No. 8 pick, but Tennessee at No. 7 could be a sleeper. And when the top defensive player in the draft will very likely be on the board, there's a chance they could go that direction, too, right?

The draft isn't always as simple as a team needs a position filled and so they take a certain player, it's far more cerebral than that. There's also always the chance that another team trades into the spot, and Turner is someone who could be a very well-liked option for a lot of franchises.

With a price of -115 there is fantastic value in backing him to be the first pick of the defensive players, and it could be a great way to start your night of betting.

J.J. McCarthy draft position - Over 5.5 (+120)

Everyone assumes the Minnesota Vikings or a team in desperate need of a quarterback is going to trade with the Los Angeles Charger to select McCarthy in the top five, but it seems unlikely at this point if you've been paying attention and there is great value in the over here.

Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels will probably make up the top three, and it's probably that the Arizona Cardinals will take Marvin Harrison before the Chargers start thinking about a trade. But there's every chance they opt to stick with their position and make a pick, which would see McCarthy go at number six or beyond.

However, McCarthy’s college coach Jim Harbaugh has the No. 5 pick with the Chargers. While Los Angeles already has a very good young quarterback in Justin Herbert already tied down on a big contract, Harbaugh is just unpredictable to make the move nobody expects him to.

The value in the bet is too good for him to go beyond number five because of all the moving parts in the draft in and around the number, and it's too good to be ignored at this stage.

Chris Braswell to be first-round pick (+2000)

Statistics and probabilities suggest that Chris Braswell has a 10% chance of being a first-round pick, making his odds of +2000 absolutely fantastic, despite this bet being a huge long shot.

Braswell has been backed to go as far down the list as number 45 by some analysts in recent months, but big jumps do happen and the value is sensational in the bet. For example, if someone told you two years ago that Quay Walker and Cole Strange would go in the first-round you'd have been absolutely stunned - but it proves it's not impossible.

Braswell has the strength on the edge to set the run and the speed and enough bend around the edge to get to the quarterback, but he will need to develop a more consistent pass rush plan to really make his mark in the NFL and go down as a top player in his position.

That's why it's not the most likely bet to come in, but it's by far the one with the most value and there is more than enough reason behind it to take the value punt.

Under 21.5 offensive players drafted in the first round (-140)

This is one of the trickiest props out there because it only takes one team to go off track with their projected picks for everything afterwards to follow. It's also tough to really break down by just looking at it and trying to envisage every possible combination and outcome of the picks.

There is a fantastic chance of this landing however, with the majority of the top prospects in this year's class being at the front-end of the field. At -140 there is good value in the bet to earn some profit and find a way to inflate other bets for the NFL draft.
