Favorites to win F1 Miami Grand Prix

Below you’ll find a list of the drivers favored to win in Miami.

Max Verstappen - Red Bull - (-600)

The reigning champion has started the 2024 season in imperious form, dominating the track as expected and cruising to victory in four of the five races so far this season.

Verstappen even came back from behind in the sprint race in Japan after a poor showing to win, just to prove that his pace is unmatched by anyone else on the grid.

The Dutch driver has won the last three world titles, with the last two coming with total ease. His last two race wins in China and Japan saw him win by more than 12 seconds each, and he has also been the man to win in Miami in each of the last two years too.

The sport has become one of the most predictable there is in recent times such is his dominance, to the point where even a -600 price is seemingly attractive. His mechanical failure in Australia shows that anything can still happen, but this is once again the obvious pick to with.

Sergio Perez - Red Bull - (+1200)

If Verstappen is going to run into trouble somehow, then the obvious driver to step up and take the victory is his teammate Perez.

The Spaniard has claimed four podium finishes in his five races this season, with three runners-up spots behind his colleague and a third-place finish in China last time out. The only time he didn't make the podium was when Red Bull had troubles in Australia and he finished fifth.

Last season he won a couple of races early on in the season as he alternated top two finishes with Verstappen, and he finished just 5.384 seconds behind the winner in Miami then too.

Red Bull are so far ahead of the rest of the pack that if their top dog fails somewhere, you'd expect Perez to be able to pick up the slack and take the win home for the team. At +1200, there is amazing value if you want to bank on another bad day for Perez's teammate.

Charles Leclerc - Ferrari - (+1800)

The impending arrival of Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari in 2025 has got the whole team on alert, knowing they have something to prove in order to make sure it's a worthwhile move.

Leclerc is fighting to keep his spot as the number one driver in the team, and so far this season he has been generally in good form. The Monegasque driver has finished fourth on three occasions including each of the last two races, while also securing podium finishes in Saudi Arabia (third) and Australia (second).

But the Ferrari car simply cannot compete with what Red Bull can deliver, and getting a win on a tight track won't be easy unless there are big errors from their rivals.

Leclerc is always a good option to back and with 20/1 odds there is magnificent value for a driver who has come closest to competing for a title with Verstappen in recent years, but it still seems highly unlikely.

Lando Norris - McLaren - (+2000)

Lando Norris hasn't fared particularly well in South Florida during his career, retiring from the first edition of the race and then finishing all the way back in 17th last year.

However, he is coming off a second-place finish at the Chinese Grand Prix for his best result of the young season, and his pace in qualifying all season has been very good too.

Norris is yet to claim a victory as a Formula 1 driver in his career but he finished as runner-up six times in the 2023 season and once already this season, so it's clear to see that he is capable of competing.

Verstappen is far and away the favorite for a reason, but Norris will have a tremendous opportunity of getting that first win if something goes wrong for him and the chance arises for him to capitalize.
