BC Lions vs Toronto Argonauts CFL Week Five Betting Lines
BC Lions: Leo's aim for a third straight victory
Following a dismal performance, during their 27-16 season opening Week Two loss to the RedBlacks in Ottawa, BC has won two straight high scoring contests versus Saskatchewan. The Lions posted a 35-32 win at home in Week Three before heading into Regina where they recorded a 27-24 victory during Week Four action. The ‘Riders have the worst defense in the CFL (33.5 PPG) so those pair of wins need to be taken with a grain of salt. The Lions have scored 26 PPG while giving up 27.6 PPG.
Toronto Argonauts: Holding their own with backup QB Trevor Harris
With Toronto QB Ricky Ray beginning the season on the six-game disabled list, backup QB Trevor Harris has been rock solid for the Argonauts. The Boatmen are 2-1 with Harris at the helm and his 121.5 passer rating is the best mark in the CFL. Coming off a bye week, Toronto is on the road for a second straight game as they lost 25-20 to the Stampeders in Calgary back in Week Three. Toronto opened their season with a 26-11 win over Edmonton and a 42-20 victory over Saskatchewan.
Argonauts vs Lions: CFL Week Five Prediction: While Toronto is 2-1 versus BC during their last three meetings, including a 40-23 blowout win in Vancouver last September, the Boatman are just 1-9 during their last ten visits to BC Place. We are backing the BC Lions in this CFL West vs East clash with a 300 unit wager on the money line price posted on the Sportsbook.ag CFL betting board.
