NFL Week 4 Picks

NFL Week 4 Picks

We get an NFC West rivalry to open the Week 4 action in the National Football League. The Thursday Night Football prime time battle has the St. Louis Rams hosting the San Francisco 49ers at 8:25 PM ET, on September 26, 2013, from the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO.

NFC top chalk 49ers off to a rocky start

Posted at most online sportsbooks as the preseason chalk to win the National Football Conference Championship, the San Francisco 49ers have opened the season with a 1-2 record. After a break out 34-28 win over the Packers on opening day, the 49ers were blown out in their next two games. The Niners traveled to Seattle and were scorched 29-3 by the Seahawks in Week 2 action and then got blasted 27-7 by the Colts at home last weekend. This is still a very solid football team.

St. Louis Rams: Also riding a two game losing streak

With a maturing Sam Bradford under center, and a defense that was expected to be one of the better units in the NFL, a winning season was forecast in St. Louis. A close 27-24 road win over the Cardinals in Arizona bolstered the optimism. It’s been downhill since then though as the Rams have lost two straight on the road. The Falcons defeated St. Louis 31-24 at the Georgia Dome back in Week 2 and the Cowboys busted up the Rams 31-7 last week. The Rams need some D here!

Rams vs. 49ers NFL Week 4 Odds & Parlay Prediction

Checking in at the sportsbook.com wagering website we find the San Francisco as thin road chalk in this contest tonight. The 49ers recent futility works in our favor as the Niners are -3.5 chalk ATS and -180 on the money line. St. Louis are home pups at +160 straight up and the Over/Under is posted at 43 total points. Though exotic bets can be risky business - when we find a spot - we like to hit it. Give us the Niners at -3.5 and OVER 43 points on a parlay at Sportsbook.com!

UFC 247: Controversial Jones Back In The Octagon

There's no questioning the talent of Jon Jones. He's one of the most dominant mixed martial artists in the history of the discipline. The headliner for UFC 247, he was the youngest champion in UFC history when he won his light heavyweight world title at the age of 23. But Jones frequently runs afoul of the sport's regulators. He's twice been suspended for positive drug tests following his bouts.
