While it feels like just yesterday that things wrapped up for Wimbledon, it's already time to start looking forward to the next major that everyone has on their mind. We're of course talking about the U.S. Open in Queens. There's going to be a loaded field, but already a lot of fans are focused on the fact that Carlos Alcaraz is eyeing revenge on Jannik Sinner at the 2025 U.S. Open.
As most of you recall, Sinner was able to take down Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final, doing so in four sets. It wasn't easy for Sinner, but the world's No. 1 ranked player was able to pull away and get the job done. It no question left a bad taste in the mouth of Alcaraz, who is now all-in on winning the U.S. Open. He has all the respect in the world for Sinner, but he's ready to post a needed strong performance.

"I just left the court with the head really, really high because I did everything that I could today," Alcaraz said after he lost to Sinner in the Wimbledon final. "I just want to think, OK, I just played a final in a Grand Slam, and try to forget that I lost it. It's just about [the fact] I was able to play in it. So, right now I'm not bad at all. I'm just happy."
According to the best online sports betting sites, Alcaraz holds +180 odds to pull through and win at the U.S. Open. People from all over the world will be in New York down the road to watch this tournament from start to finish. It's going to take a passionate effort from Alcaraz to unseat Sinner. We think he'll pull it off, as we're going with the Spaniard as our pick.

Jannik Sinner is actually the favorite to win the 2025 U.S. Open
While a lot of the focus is on seeing what Alcaraz can get done, keep in mind that Jannik Sinner is actually the favorite to win the 2025 U.S. Open. Sinner indeed was triumphant at Wimbledon, getting some revenge himself on Alcaraz for what happened in Paris. In case you forgot, these two also faced off in the final of the French Open.
In that match, Alcaraz pulled off one of the best comebacks we've ever seen, somehow taking down Sinner. Sinner had multiple championship points, but he just couldn't close the door in Alcaraz, who ended up winning the final. That no question served as motivation for Sinner, who was able to get things across the line at Wimbledon. He's now motivated to win back-to-back majors.

"I had a very tough loss in Paris. But at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter how you win or you lose the important tournaments," Sinner said after winning Wimbledon. "You just have to understand what you did wrong. Trying to work on that -- that's exactly what we did. We tried to accept the loss and then just kept working. And this is, for sure, why I'm holding this trophy here."
Entering the action, Sinner has been given +120 odds to win the U.S. Open via the top tennis betting sites. From our chair, something tells us that Sinner and Alcaraz are once again going to meet in the final. It will be interesting to see if that happens or not, but regardless, both guys will be in it late. We're sticking with Alcaraz as our pick, but Sinner will no question make things interesting.
Novak Djokovic is the dark horse to win the U.S. Open this year
You didn't think we were going to forget about this legend, did you? There's no question that Novak Djokovic is the dark horse to win the U.S. Open this year. It's safe to say that he's no longer in his prime, but you can't argue with the fact that he's still one of the top players on the planet.
With his experience alone, Djokovic is a threat to win any tournament that he participates in. At the U.S. Open in New York, he'll be playing on a court he's quite familiar with and he's no stranger to success in the tournament either. Djokovic will be ready to make a splash.
Yes, a lot of people expect Alcaraz and Sinner to be the main stars and face off in the final. However, we shouldn't be shocked if Djokovic goes on a deep run himself and ends up pushing for the silverware. He's someone that always needs to be taken seriously whenever he's got a racket in his hand.
