Most Likely Team To Win: Alabama

Alabama has been a force to reckon with since Nick Saban took over as the head coach in 2007. Since his hiring the Crimson Tide have won three BCS National Championship, became the first team ever to defeat six top-25 opponents in a season and have produced over 25 players currently on a NFL roster.

So can anyone dethrone the Crimson Tide in 2015? The SEC is a very deep conference with four different programs winning the national championship between 2006 -2012. Auburn will pose the biggest threat to the reigning SEC champ in 2015. Auburn roster stacks up well against the Crimson Tide and the Tide did lose its starting quarterback and the 2014 Heisman runner-up, Amari Cooper. The Crimson Tide had the top recruiting class in 2015 (their sixth straight year with the honour) and with their great recruiting they have been able to handle the college football turnover better than just about any other program.

Because of the depth of the roster and the ability to consistently recruit high caliber players, Alabama once again will win the SEC crown.

A Sleeper Team That Could Surprise: Tennessee

With how competitor the SEC is, just about any team possesses the ability to win any game or be crowned conference champion. Out of all the teams below Alabama and Auburn, Tennessee seems to be the next best if not just as good. Tennessee fielded one of the youngest teams in division one football in 2014. With the majority of the roster returning, including the impressive sophomores Jalen Hurd and defensive end Derek Barnett. With another good recruitment class in 2015, Tennessee is finally returning to form and once again is a serious player in the SEC. Even if Tennessee cannot win the SEC, they are primed to appear in their most meaningful bowl game in the past 10 years.
