NFL 2021 Week 7 Picks: Back The Chiefs to Beat The Titans

NFL 2021 Week 7 Picks: Back The Chiefs to Beat The Titans

Kansas City Chiefs @ Tennesse TitansSunday, October 24th, 1:00 pm ET

It wasn't pretty, but the Chiefs managed to secure a much-needed win against the Washington Red Skins last week on the road.

After making the Super Bowl last season the Chiefs have started this season with a 3-3 record and struggled in the first half with two first-half red-zone interceptions. But in the second half, they were able to regroup and create enough to pull away and earn a victory.

They'll face off against the Titans this week who have started off with a 4-2 run thanks to a close win over the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

Back the Chiefs to win in a high-scoring game

The Titans are almost certainly going to win the AFC South this year, but offensively they aren't that strong in comparison to the rest of the league and defensively they give up so many opportunities.

RB Derrick Henry should have a great time though and will likely rack up a decent amount of points on his own. The Chiefs, however, shouldn't need to expect a pass rush from the Titans and because they simply don't have the defensive backs to keep up with them, Kansas City are likely to come out on top here in a high-scoring encounter.

New York Jets @ New England PatriotsSunday, October 24th, 1:00 pm ET

A tough start to the season for the Patriots sees them sitting at 2-4 after six games so far in the NFL and desperate for a win to stay alive in the AFC Wild Card.

They were beaten by the Dallas Cowboys in overtime last time out in a game where they held a half-time lead, forced multiple turnovers and their opponents missed a field goal with only four minutes left.

Now they take on the Jets and rookie quarterback Zach Wilson with a point to prove, which could be bad news for the visitors.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick never loses to rookie quarterbacks and with the Patriots desperate to keep their seasons alive expect fireworks in this game.

Back Patriots to win big

These two teams met earlier in the season and it was one-sided domination in favor of New England.

The final score was 25-6 and with the spread currently sitting at just -7 it's as close to a lock as you can get this weekend @ -110

Over the last decade the Patriots have had so much success against the Jets and with the season delicately in the balance this feels like the chance for Belichick's side to make a real statement and blow their opponents out of the water.

When you can see that in the previous games that the Jets have struggled to score points while the Patriots are still putting up good numbers, then it makes the under an appealing bet too @ -110.

The Jets will likely be better going forward than they were in the first meeting between the two sides, it won't be much different. Patriots will just run through them without much resistance and likely run the total up for a decisive performance and victory.

Carolina Panthers @ New York GiantsSunday, October 24th, 1:00 pm ET

A great start to the season for the Panthers has been derailed after losing three games in a row, including an overtime defeat to the Minnesota Vikings last time out.

They'll take on the New York Giants who have gone 1-5 so far this season and will be without several top playmakers including Kadarius Toney for this game.

They already have one of the worst offenses in the league and with so many injury problems added on to their poor form, it could be a really long day for the Giants on Sunday.

Carolina will be keen to snap their three-game losing streak and get back to winning ways, so they will likely be licking their lips at this game.

Back Panthers and Unders parlay with solid defense

The Panthers have been able to hold their opponents to eight points or less in two games this season, showing that their defense is solid and reliable when it needs to be and they're all on the song.

Against a depleted offensive line for the Giants this weekend, they could make that three out of seven games with a blowout win.

Sam Darnold wasn't great against the Vikings last week but seemed to find his rhythm in the second half and if he can avoid silly mistakes and pick his passes well then the Panthers should be confident enough that a win will surpass the -2.5 handicap spread to secure a winner @ -120.

Neither team will have their star running backs available and neither offensive line has been particularly impressive either. It means the best defense will win in a likely low-scoring game so back the unders @ -110 too to add some extra value to your bet.
