Pick #1: Jacksonville Jaguars - Trayvon Walker (-225)

A late surge in the betting this week has seen Walker shoot up to be the favorite as the number one overall pick in this year's draft.

Jacksonville GM Trent Baalke loves to draft players with good length and athleticism and that sums up Walker in an instant.

He is quite comfortably the best athlete in the class and is capable of playing in several different roles across the defensive line, which is a huge positive for the way they like to play.

He's far from being the finished article but with the right coaching and right team, he could become a genuine NFL superstar in years to come.

Pick #2: Detroit Lions - Kayvon Thibodeaux (+4000)

There is an obvious lack of Aidan Hutchinson in these first two picks, but that's not as inconceivable as many people think it is right now.

Thibodeaux has got a massive upside and Brad Holmes has been honing in on him throughout the entire process. Detroit Lions have also got the edge considering they have his former teammate Penei Sewell already.

There are reportedly some concerns about his off-field-antics and personality, but a rusher who has earned comparisons to Khalil Mack is likely to become an All-Pro sooner rather than later and could go early in this draft.

Pick #3: Houston Texans - Derek Stingley Jr (+10000)

Houston have a few options that they could go with in this draft, namely an offensive linesman or even the best available EDGE player.

But there aren't anywhere near as many 'elite' players in this draft class to choose from, but one guy who could totally turn that idea on it's head is Stingley Jr.

If people had seen his tape from 2019 only, then he'd likely be a lock as the number one pick for this season. As it turns out though, there are another two years or tape to look at and he's dropped down the pecking order.

But Houston could throw a spanner in the works by picking him earlier than expected here and with his ability not really in question, it's just about maximising it and they'll feel they can provide the perfect environment to do so.

Pick #4: New York Jets - Aidan Hutchinson (+275)

Hutch was the runaway favorite prior to this week to be the number one pick overall, and while it's still possible it seems unlikely at this point.

That opens his options up, and the Jets look like a great place for him to fall into. He has excellent production and size, standing at 6ft 7' and weighing in at 270lbs.

He's definitely got some flaws in his game that could put a few sides off moving for him if he doesn't go first, but the Jets would love to have an EDGE rusher in their side that they would never have expected to drop this far down and would jump at the chance to have him in their franchise.

Pick #5: New York Giants - Evan Neal (+2500)

Neal comes into the draft as the top tackle available in the class and has the experience of having played in three positions. That makes his name interesting to several teams, but especially the Giants.

He would potentially be the team's starting tackle on the right side in 2022 and then could slide over to left tackle depending on how the season was going.

Coach Brian Daboll coached in Alabama under Nick Saban in the past so has good connections there and with a need for the position in their roster, Neal seems to be the pick that makes the most sense for them at this point.

Pick #6: Carolina Panthers - Ikem Ekwonu (+600)

Now don't be surprised if the Panthers completely ignore Ekwonu in this draft and instead opt to go for a quarterback instead in Kenny Pickett.

However, when you consider the playing field of free agency, both Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Garoppolo could easily end up in Carolina this summer, and that would negate the need to draft one.

If that is the plan, then Ekwonu immediately becomes an option to solve their issues in the offensive line, and with his ability to start at guard or tackle from the jump, he'd be a great pick here.
