Pittsburgh Steelers (+5.5) at Baltimore Ravens (-5.5.)

It’s not often you’ll see a line of +5.5 points on an unbeaten team in the NFL Vegas odds. Yet as 6-0 Pittsburgh goes to Baltimore to face the 5-1 Ravens, that’s the opening point spread.

Baltimore has won two in a row and three of four from Pittsburgh. However, the Steelers have taken four of the past seven from the Ravens. That includes two of the past three games played at Baltimore.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore are 1-2 in the NFL in defense. They’re also 1-2 in the NFL in quarterback sacks. The Steelers just went into Tennessee and beat the Titans, who were the NFL’s No. 1 scoring offense.

Dallas Cowboys (+7.5) at Philadelphia Eagles (-7.5)

The 7-9 Seattle Seahawks (2009 NFC West) and the 7-8-1 Carolina Panthers (2014 NFC South) are the only teams in NFL history to win division titles with a losing record. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that 6-10 could win the NFC East.

Philadelphia (2-4-1) currently holds the division lead. Dallas and Washington, both 2-5, are a half-game behind. Four of the five worst point differentials in the NFC reside in the NFC East. As a division, the NFC East is 1-12 on the road.

Some team has to win the division, though, and the Eagles look like the pick in the NFL odds. They’ve given both the Steelers and Ravens tough games, combining to score 57 points against two of the NFL’s best defenses.

New England Patriots (+4) at Buffalo Bills (-4)

You have to go back 12 games to find a Bills-Patriots meeting in which Buffalo was favored in the NFL betting odds. The Bills were one-point home favorites against the Pats on Oct. 12, 2014 but lost outright 37-22.

Buffalo comes into Sunday’s game 1-2 over the last three contests, rallying from a 10-0 deficit on Sunday to beat the winless Jets 18-10 behind six Tyler Bass field goals.

New England was humbled 33-6 by the San Francisco 49ers. It was the third loss in a row for the Pats and starting QB Cam Newton was benched.

The Patriots have won seven in a row and nine of 10 from the Bills. But this year’s Pats are 0-2 against the spread as a road underdog.
