Phoenix Suns (+270)

Last year the Suns claimed the Western Conference championship but were pipped in the finals by the Milwaukee Bucks, but they bounced back this year to claim the number one seed after a great season.

Devin Booker had a tremendous season personally, while their stacked roster managed to see them earn the league's best regular season record at 64-18Chris Paul is showing that age is nothing but a number with his performances, and the team showed they can cope without him after he broke his thumb mid-season and missed 15 games.

With DeAndre Ayton, JaVale McGee and Jae Crowder as their big men, the Suns have got one of the most complete starting fives in the NBA.

The Western Conference is stacked but they deserve their spot at the top of the pile, and that makes them worthy favourites for the crown with an added year of experience after last year's near miss.

Milwaukee Bucks (+500)

Last year's reigning and defending champions have gone about their business quietly this season, but have still had an excellent season in their own right.

A record of 51-31 was enough to earn them the number three seed in the Eastern conference this season, with last season's finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo once again leading the side alongside the brilliant and underrated Khris Middleton.

Giannis hasn't been at his usual destructive best this season and having played a lot of basketball over recent years, it's no surprise that wear and tear as well as tiredness is starting to catch him up.

A lot of their best basketball comes through him though and that could be a problem the deeper they go.

Brook Lopez and Grayson Allen provide a talented supporting cast, but repeating is incredibly difficult to do for a reason and it'll likely be a step too far for this side although you can't count them out entirely.

Brooklyn Nets (+650)

The pre-season favourites started their campaign on fire, even without Kyrie Irving, but a mid-season slump plus the drama with James Harden meant that they had to rely on a win over Cleveland Cavaliers in the play-in tournament to secure their spot.

Kevin Durant put together a first half of the season that had him in the MVP conversation and while he's still been excellent, we saw his level drop just as the rest of the team's did.

His MCL injury saw him miss 21 games this season but going into the post-season he is fit and healthy, and can reignite his excellent partnership with Irving who has been cleared to play in home and away games now despite his vaccination status.

Defensively they struggle and a match-up with Boston has all the makings of an early exit, but with the amount of quality they have and the potential of Ben Simmons returning during the post-season, their value is too much to ignore.

Golden State Warriors (+1000)

Any team with Steph Curry in it has a chance of winning any game of basketball, and for that reason he cannot be overlooked.

Without a doubt the best three-point shooter in NBA history, Curry had a great season personally and led the Warriors to a 53-29 record which was enough for third seed in the West. Now with the return of Klay Thompson, the 'Splash brothers' could well be ready for one last dance in the playoffs.

Their supporting cast isn't as strong as it once was and it would be a major surprise to see them go all the way, but they have the ingredients to do so.

Curry's ball handling, playmaking and shooting mixed with Thompson's amazing scoring and Draymond Green's incredible defensive abilities mean if they're all fit and firing they have a chance.

Miami Heat (+1000)

The number one seeds in the East coming in at +1000 is insane value, regardless of how strong the rest of the field looks.

Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo all bring their own excellent qualities and the team is two years on from their finals disappointment against the LA Lakers in 2022 during the bubble tournament.

They're a stout unit defensively and have the star quality to take games away from opposition if needed, so they're worth a flutter without a doubt.
