Amir Khan vs Kell Brook Odds

  • Amir Khan - (+150)
  • Kell Brook - (-170)

This fight is sure to be absolutely spectacular and that is reflected in the close odds that bookmakers have conjured up for it.

Khan comes into the fight as a slight underdog despite being a two-time former world champion in the weight class, having won three of his last four fights including his last bout in 2019 against Billy Dib via a fourth-round knockout.

At the best price of +150 with MyBookie Sports Betting, you can earn $150 of profit for every $100 you stake making him a very worthwhile investment.

To earn that money though, you'll need the favorite Kell Brook to falter.

'Special K' has lost three of his last six fights against world-class opposition in Errol Spence Jr, Gennady Golovkin, and most recently Terrence Crawford via knockout in the fourth round of their title fight in November 2020.

Despite that, he comes in as the favorite to win the fight and is a best price -170 with BetUS Sports Betting meaning you must stake $170 to see a return of $100.

Khan vs Brook preview

These two fighters are well past their prime where they were among the elite in the world, but they're still more than good enough to get in there and give the fans one hell of an evening.

Khan is coming off a two-and-a-half-year layoff, with his last fight coming in Saudi Arabia way back in July 2019 where he knocked out Billy Gib in the fourth round.

Khan looked fast and strong in that fight and at 35-years-old there is still fight left in the old dog. That bout came after a technical knockout defeat against Terrence Crawford just three months prior in Madison Square Garden, where he failed to become world champion after a sixth-round stoppage following an accidental low blow.

Brook's bout with Crawford didn't go as swimmingly. His last fight ended in a brutal knockout loss in the fourth round when he was knocked senseless with a big right hand and follow-up shots saw the referee wave the fight off.

Luckily he didn't suffer any further damage to his eye, which had been badly hurt in defeats to Golovkin and Spence previously where he required surgery to fully recover.

Both fighters tend to rely heavily on their jab, with Khan throwing super fast combinations and tending to lead with a left hook instead of a jab on occasion to get around the guard of his opponent.

Brook has a very traditional style of boxing, but has great power and conditioning and tends to break his opponents down as fights go on.

Back the underdog

in a grudge match, it's not always about who the better technical boxer is because emotion and other variables tend to come into play.

On a technical level, there isn't much that separates these two fighters and they're both at a similar stage of their careers too which makes this a very interesting fight to predict.

On this occasion though, the underdog has a lot going in his favor.

Firstly this fight is at his optimum weight class. Brook has had to drop back down to welterweight for the fight after spending a while at light-middleweight and when he did come down to welterweight again he looked slower and less resistant to big shots.

The weight cut is going to play a part with Khan likely to move forward and throw big combinations. Add to that the fact that Brook's eye hasn't been the same since the Golovkin fight and his propensity to damage against top-level guys has only increased.

This is also a very personal bout to Brook, who feels disrespected by Khan throughout his career and says he has overlooked his achievements. Their recent 'Gloves Off' face-off saw Khan clearly rattle Brook and he's in his head which doesn't bode well.

It's a 50/50 fight and should provide great entertainment, but Khan is faster and speed kills. Back the underdog to win and if you're feeling extra confident, back the knockout.
