The opening weekend of the National Football League season was one to remember. Things started off last Thursday with the Eagles taking down the Cowboys, while Sunday night provided an AFC thriller between the Ravens and Bills. It is too early to start thinking about who will take home the Lombardi Trophy? Not at all, as the Buffalo Bills are our pick to win the 2025 Super Bowl.
Will the AFC East powerhouse be able to get the job done? That's what a lot of people have in mind, especially after the epic comeback win over Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in Week 1. All signs were pointing to Baltimore posting a memorable win, but Josh Allen had other ideas. Matt Prater drilled the game-winning field goal too as time expired.

It shouldn't come as a surprise at all, but Josh Allen is the favorite to win 2025 NFL MVP. His season got started off in stellar style on Sunday night and he definitely made people who have him in fantasy football pretty happy. For the evening, the star quarterback tossed for two touchdowns, while also adding two more rushing. He was brilliant late in the game too.
“No one on the sideline blinked," Allen said right after the Week 1 win over the Baltimore Ravens. "I mean, down 15 points, whatever we were, with five, six minutes left. Staying with it. That’s a really good outfit that we just played. And, you know, God willing, we take care of business how we’re supposed to and how we think we will."

With the Chiefs, Week 1 was rough, with Kansas City losing to the LA Chargers. Quarterback Justin Herbert shined in the win, tossing for three touchdowns. Despite that, everyone knows that you should never count out Patrick Mahomes. In the Week 1 loss, he was superb and you know he's going to be motivated to bounce back in Week 2.
In the AFC, the fact of the matter here is that the Chiefs have dominated the Bills in the postseason. This is something Allen and the Bills want to try and prevent from happening again this year. If those two teams meet in the AFC Championship Game, it will be awesome. However, we're sticking to our guns in saying the Bills will win the AFC and then go on to win the Super Bowl.
