Blackhawks vs Ducks: Game Five Western Conference Final

Blackhawks vs Ducks: Game Five Western Conference Final

Continuing “heavy play” will serve the Ducks well

Don’t tell Anaheim that the 82 game NHL regular season doesn’t count for anything. The Ducks Western Conference best 51-24-7 record has parlayed into home ice advantage for two of the next three West Final contests – if necessary. Anaheim is 6-1 at home during the postseason and they have outscored their opponents by a 24-10 margin. Having the last line change is a big advantage as the Ducks attempt to keep their hit parade rolling. Anaheim has out-hit the Hawks by a combined 176-134 count during the first four games of this series.

Blackhawks salvaged one that almost got away in the Windy City

Up 3-1 at the 7:38 mark of the third period, Chicago kind of disappeared as they allowed three Anaheim goals in just 37 seconds (8:42 to 9:19) to fall behind 4-3 in Game Four. A Patrick Kane goal at 12:39 tied the match before Antoine Verette sealed the deal at 5:57 of the second overtime period. While there isn’t much separating these squads, Chicago has wasted more than a few opportunities as they are just one for nine on the power play during their last two contests.

Blackhawks vs Ducks Decision: The five Chicago goals in Game Four equaled their output during the first three contests combined. Anaheim has not lost two straight games during the 2014-15 NHL postseason. We’ll soar with the Ducks at home and a 1000 unit wager on the money odds posted on the betting board at the TopBet online sportsbook. Click the odds image below for instant access!
