NFL Week 1 Odds Released

Steelers at Patriots (-6, 54): No Le'Veon Bell for Pittsburgh or LeGarrett Blount for the Patriots as both running backs are suspended. But it is Tom Brady and Ben Roethlisberger and they threw for nearly 900 yard and  a combined eight touchdowns in the last meeting, a Patriots blowout win in Week 9 of the 2013 season. This is the Thursday night Kickoff Game. The defending Super Bowl champion has lost just one of these at home.

Packers at Bears (+4, 42.5): The NFL's oldest rivalry is renewed and the Packers have owned it since Aaron Rodgers took over for Brett Favre. They swept last year in easy fashion. Rodgers’ last four trips into Soldier Field have been dazzling: a .695 completion percentage, 1,208 yards, 12 touchdown passes, three turnovers, four Packers victories. For the sixth consecutive year, the Bears will open the season at home. Last year’s overtime loss to the Bills in Week 1 marked the first time since 2009 the Bears had began the year 0-1. It was the first time since ’08 that they lost their home opener.

Chiefs at Texans (-1, 42.5):  Both teams just missed the playoffs last year. They last played Week 7 of 2013 in K.C., a 17-16 Chiefs win. Case Keenum was Houston's starting QB then. It will be either Brian  Hoyer or Ryan Mallett this time.

Browns at Jets (-2, 41): Who will be Cleveland's starting QB? Presumably Brian  Hoyer unless Johnny Manziel becomes a totally different person and player. How about the Jets? Might they take Marcus Mariota in the draft? Head coaching debut of the Jets' Todd Bowles.

Colts at Bills (+2.5, 47.5): Bills head coaching debut of Rex Ryan and also the Buffalo debut of new running back LeSean McCoy. Who will play quarterback? Colts have no worries there.

Dolphins at Redskins (+2, 44.5): Who is under center for Washington? If it's not Robert Griffin III then it will be an upset. First game as a Dolphin for Ndamukong Suh, the highest-paid defender in the NFL.

Panthers at Jaguars (+4, 43): Year 2 begins for Blake Bortles in Jacksonville. This should be low scoring.

Seahawks at Rams (+4, 43.5): The Super Bowl 50-favored Seahawks certainly have a tough start as that Rams defense was one of the best last year and added Nick Fairley. It should be the St. Louis debut of quarterback Nick Foles.

Saints at Cardinals (-3, 47): Few teams will look more different in 2015 than last year than the Saints, but Drew Brees is still around. Arizona QB Carson Palmer presumably makes his return from another serious injury.

Lions at Chargers (-2, 45.5): Who  is under center for the Bolts? Philip Rivers? Marcus Mariota? Someone else? Lions begin life without Suh.

Titans at Buccaneers (-2.5, 42): It could be No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston of Tampa Bay against No. 2 overall pick Marcus Mariota of the Titans. They would be about the only reason to watch this one.

Bengals at Raiders (+3, 44): Oakland head coaching debut of Jack Del Rio. Bengals look to put another first-round playoff failure behind them.

Ravens at Broncos (-4, 52): Certainly one of  the marquee matchups of Week 1 and perhaps the final opening day for Peyton Manning. Last time Baltimore visited Denver the Ravens were slaughtered 49-27 in Week 1 of the 2013 season as Manning had seven TD passes.

Giants at Cowboys (-5.5, 50): Giants rookie Odell Beckham Jr. made perhaps the most acrobatic catch in NFL history in a game vs. Dallas last year. The Cowboys swept the Giants last season.

Eagles at Falcons (+1, 53): This is the Monday Night Football opener  and the debut of Falcons coach Dan  Quinn, the former Seahawks defensive coordinator. We start to learn if Chip Kelly's wild offseason will pay dividends. Will Sam Bradford be the QB? Mariota?

Vikings at 49ers (-3.5, 41.5): Week 1 closes with the MNF late game. Is Adrian Peterson a Viking? 49ers being the post-Jim Harbaugh Era.
