Deion Sanders vs. Baseball (1989-2001)

Yes, Deion Sanders is more dual-sport athlete than cross-event dabbler, but he more than deserves a spot on this list.

Best known for a Hall of Fame NFL career that spanned 14 seasons, the cornerback actually had a fairly lucrative, if semi-successful side gig in MLB.

Sanders spent parts of nine seasons playing predominantly for the New York Yankees and Atlanta Braves. He walked away from the game with unsightly slugging (.240) and on base (.235) percentages, but he still managed to carve out $13.2 million in career earnings.

Big ups to him. That’s impressiveas was his footspeed on the bases.
