How To Bet On New York City FC

French legend Patrick Vieira is New York City’s head coach and his attacking mentality is working well as the franchise looks to win their first MLS Cup. Vieira demands dedication and fitness from his team, ensuring they have a great chance to take all three points every week. In David Villa, New York City has a world class striker while the ageless Andrea Pirlo adds class to the team, even if Pirlo is 37 years old. Prilo still spreads the play with aplomb, his passing ability a formidable weapon for Vieira and his men.

New York City FC Betting Tips

There’s no shortage of talent on the New York City roster. David Villa uses his vast experience and skill set to seemingly score goals at will. He is approaching the twilight of his career, but Villa still has the soccer acumen to dominate the MLS. He will once again be near the top of the MLS scoring chart.

Primarily because of Villa’s proficiency in front of goal, NYCFC were the highest scoring team in the MLS during the 2016 campaign. They scored 62 goals in a run-and-gun style rarely seen in soccer. Unfortunately it was the team’s porous defense that was their undoing. NYCFC conceded 57 goals in 2016, fourth most in the MLS. They’ll never win a title with shabby defending so it will be interesting to see if Vieira can solve their defensive woes.

If he can, NYCFC have a great chance of winning the MLS Cup and will be considered one of the runaway favorites. That’s a big if, though.

You’ll currently want to back the over market in most NYCFC games.

NYCFC don’t mind playing away from home, as their league best road record indicated. Winning seven from 17 road games, the team from the Big Apple is quite confident in hostile territory. You’ll have to delve into recent form, finding out how they historically perform against certain teams before committing to your NYCFC bets.
