How To Bet On Watford

Watford have always been renowned for a bit of flair, dating back to the days when Elton John was the club chairman. Watford made it all the way to Wembley to play the F.A. Cup final against Everton. At that time John Barnes was the club’s showcase player, but after Barnes (and Elton John) left, Watford suffered an elongated dip in form which led to eventual relegation. A club on the fringe of the Premier League for most of it’s history recently returned to the top division. They enjoyed a good season in 2016-17 until the latter stages, when their dip in form eventually dropped them to 16th place in the standings.  [+]

Watford could remain in the Premier League for years to come, but we think it’s more likely that the forthcoming season will pitch them into a relegation battle. The Hornets were buzzing to be back in the top division a year ago and will be entrenched in a 10-month dogfight to retain their coveted position.

They do, however, have a new manager at the helm. Former Hull City boss, Marco Silva has taken the reigns and will look to prove that he’s as good as some people think.

How To Win Watford Bets

Watford enjoyed an 2015/16 amazing season, after a glut of goals in the first half of the season saw them race into the top half. A disappointing end to the season aside, Watford survived with ease and reached the semi-finals of the F.A. Cup.

Watford were pegged at +275 to be relegated in 2016-17. They weren’t really drawn into the relegation battle until the end of the season. Still, though, they weren’t really troubled for the duration. You’ll want to pay close attention to Watford during the first month of the season before making any futures decisions. With a new manager in charge, it will be interesting to see how the player’s react to Silva’s presence.

He almost defied the odds with Hull City, nearly pulling them from oblivion. If his short spell at Hull is anything to go by, Watford will be just fine in coming seasons.
