Arsenal are one of the most successful sides in English football history. The Gunners have won the F.A. Cup 13 times and the division title 13 times. They haven’t, however, won the league championship since 2004, a significant barren spell for the highly touted team. The Gunners, in their 2004 Premier League winning campaign, were undefeated for the entire season, an unprecedented 38 games – 26 wins and 12 draws – without a defeat. It’s a feat that hasn’t been replicated since, and many pundits are unsure whehter it ever will be.
Arsene Wenger joined from Monaco in 1996. The Frenchman revolutionized Arsenal. His focus on nutrition, wellbeing and youth development was seen as progressive in many quarters. Between 1998 and 2004, Wenger enjoyed a period of great success, during which time Arsenal won three titles and multiple F.A. Cups.
Wenger was revered for transforming Arsenal. Having won three titles in a period of just seven seasons, Arsenal were expected to consistently challenge at the top. Unfortunately for Arsenal and Wenger, the team couldn’t cope well when Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, Robert Pires and Dennis Bergkamp left the club. While almost always in the top four, Arsenal didn’t have the depth, guile in midfield, and defensive nous to win the league.
Arsenal didn’t manage a top-four place in the 2016-17 season, finishing fifth in the table. It means they’ll be without Champions League soccer for the first time in a long while.
Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie, flamboyant and technically gifted players, joined Arsenal, but didn’t have the support to form a complete team. Arsenal is still critisized for the same issues, which have hamstrung the team and kept them from winning a Premier League title in 12 years. Wenger’s reign at the club will soon be over if the team doesn’t come up with the goods and end their dry spell.

How To Win Arsenal Bets
Arsenal may be one of the biggest names in the Premier League, but the list of teams who have won it since their last trophy is getting longer by the year. Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and even Leicester City have all lifted the trophy in the past 13 seasons, while Arsenal’s only return has been three FA Cup trophies.
It was the same old story in North London. Arsenal started the season excpetionally well but faltered during the winter months. They don’t have the physicality of robust midfielders to grind out 1-0 away results in the bitterly cold winter months.
Arsenal are usually a great futures pick to obtain a Champions League spot, which will be no different in coming years. But with the amount of competition at the top, I’d avoid that particular futures bet for a while.
They are always a good bet to win the FA Cup, as they showed once again in 2016-17. Hoisting the FA Cup took a bit of the pressure off of Wenger at the Emirates but for how long? Many fans want his head on a stick, so it will be interesting to see how he can steady the ship in coming seasons.
